Can I Get Sling on My Vizio Smart Tv

Vizio native app request

So I recently got a Vizio Boob tube and found it unbelievable that Sling does not take a native app on Vizio TVs. That means I will accept to use another device with Chromcast to watch Sling on my TV. It'south not a dealbreaker nevertheless but information technology'southward getting annoying to have to always use my phone or another device to watch Sling.

So my question is, WHY hasn't sling got an App on Vizio nonetheless? Tin y'all guys work out any problems you lot got between yourselves?

I would imagine that this is only not a projection worth it to them. I am not 100% sure on how to develop an app for a specific make of smart Goggle box. Simply it might not be worth creating a new squad/new project of code for, non to mention all the maintenance there would be with that new project. Newer Vizio TVs also take SmartCast on them (I believe) which has Chromecast built in so you tin only cast to that, instead of having to buy a seperate Chromecast.

I'm actually unable to cast Sling to my Vizio currently. I have no issues casting with YouTube or Netflix which also have Vizio apps avaliable but for some reason the bandage button is missing when I log into the Sling app. My friend plugged his chromecast in and it works fine in one case I exercise that though

I would have to disagree. I am not a programmer either just Sling already has an native app on Samsung and LG's smart TVs, it wouldn't make sense for sling to skip Vizio which has a decent market place share. Secondly, I would reasonably speculate that making some other app on Vizio's platform wouldn't need a whole new dedicated squad, then again I am not tech basis then I am not 💯 certain. That leads to a possibility that there possibly direction issues between Sling and Vizio.
